Challenge Day 6
~ What I’m supposed to do:
- Meditation will give our body the same feeling like exercise. Meditating for 5 minutes is the same feeling as running for 25 minutes. Find a meditation app and meditate for 5 minutes.
OK – I found an app – meditated for 5 minutes. I actually find it easier to meditate without the app, I find the app itself distracting. And I wonder – if meditating for 5 minutes makes you feel as if you’ve had a 25-minute run, does it burn the same calories? What a great way to lose weight! LOL
~ What I’m supposed to write:
- Write a review of your favorite movie of 2018.
I didn’t go to many movies in the theatre in 2018, but of the ones I saw, I’d have to say that Ready Player One was my favourite.
The story was good, and I loved the special effects, but really made me enjoy the movie – enough to watch it again when it came to television – was the constant references to other movies, TV shows, video games and more. Back to the Future, Batman, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Halo, Star Wars, Mortal Kombat, The A-Team, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the Bee Gees, The Lord of the Rings, Nightmare on Elm Street, Michael Jackson, Tron – the list goes on.
Ready Player One didn’t get good reviews from the professional reviewers, but I had a great time and left the theatre bubbling over and talking with Emily about how many of the references I had noticed in it. I found even more when I watched it a second time, although I must say that the story didn’t hold me very well on second viewing – I was there for the Easter Eggs.
All in all, I’m glad I watched it first in the theatre – the effects were not as powerful on the smaller screen.
