Building the Patio

The original 2-level deck

The last straw was when M.A. put her foot through it

The dek had really rotted over the years

It took a week to tear down and haul away the old wooden deck

We were grateful to find that the old deck was set on a god layer of gravel

Emily installed, leveled, and compacted the stone dust

Temporary stairs during construction

All the materials were delivered and stacked in the driveway

Emily became “The Tetris Queen” during the installation of the pavers.

It took several days to lay the pavers.

Everything was hauled into the yard from the driveway by M.A. with a wheelbarrow

All we need now is furniture
